The available VC-Turbo engine for the 2020 Nissan Altima offers unique engineering that is the first of its kind. The typical turbocharged engine must run with a fixed compression ratio and provide the same levels of efficiency and power no matter how you are driving. The VC-Turbo is different by offering a flexible compression ratio. If you need power as you accelerate, this engine will reduce its compression ratio. As you cruise or decelerate, the engine will automatically increase the compression ratio to save fuel.

If you select this innovative engine, you can expect 236 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. Up to 25 city mpg* and 34 highway mpg* will be produced.
